Strengthening Digital Engagement for Public Impact

Oxfam Hong Kong’s digital platform needs to serve multiple audiences — donors, volunteers, campaign supporters, and the wider public — while clearly communicating impact, accountability, and urgency.
 

This project focuses on restructuring information, improving accessibility, and strengthening donation-oriented journeys, so users can understand, trust, and act with confidence.

Design System

Designing for Transparency and Trust

The visual system balances strong campaign storytelling with a disciplined structure that keeps donation actions clear and reassuring. UI components were designed to support frequent content updates while maintaining consistency across programme pages, campaign highlights, donation modules, and fundraising journeys.
 

A key design intent was to make the platform feel transparent and credible. Content presentation, call-to-action placement, and interaction patterns were designed to guide supporters from understanding to action without feeling pushed, especially across donation moments where clarity and confidence matter most.

The platform brings multiple fundraising and advocacy campaigns into one structured, easy-to-scan environment.

 

Seasonal appeals, event-based initiatives, and thematic programmes are presented through modular campaign cards, allowing users to quickly understand the purpose, urgency, and impact of each initiative.

Streamlined Donation Experience

The donation interface focuses on reducing friction while reinforcing trust. Users can clearly select the type of donation, choose from predefined contribution amounts, or enter a custom figure within a clean and distraction-free layout. The form hierarchy emphasises readability, input clarity, and accessibility, ensuring that the process feels straightforward and secure. The system is engineered to support different campaign configurations and future fundraising variations, allowing Oxfam to adapt its donation flows without redesigning the core experience.

As a regional organisation operating across Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan, and Macau, Oxfam requires a digital structure that recognises local identity while maintaining overall brand coherence. The platform architecture enables clear differentiation between regions, guiding users to the relevant territorial content without confusion. At the same time, the unified design system ensures consistency in interaction patterns and visual language. From a governance perspective, the CMS framework supports distributed content management and long-term scalability, allowing the platform to evolve across regions without fragmenting the user experience.
